I recently read an article in the New York Times entitled: “The Opioid Epidemic Is Surging among Black People because of Unequal Access to Treatment.”
While this fits a current cultural narrative of non-White populations having worse treatment outcomes in the US, is this truly a result of structural bias or are there other factors also involved here?
