Susan M. Snyder, MSW, MPA, PhD

Susan M. Snyder, MSW, MPA, PhD, currently works as an associate professor in the School of Social Work at Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Dr. Snyder has over a decade of practice experience in the field of child welfare, which informs her commitment to advancing research in the field. She uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate the sequelae of problem behavior, including substance use and illegal behaviors among maltreated and system-involved youth. Dr. Snyder’s most recent publication is “Tracking an Epidemic: Changes in Baseline Characteristics Among Treatment-Seeking Opioid Users with Co-occurring Disorders” in the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment.
