David Gust

David Gust is a graduate of the esteemed Hazelden Foundation Counselor Training Program and has been in the field since 1977. He founded New Directions Program in 1981. Currently, he maintains an active caseload as a counselor and, as Co-Founder of Recovery Treatment Consulting (recoverytreatmentconsulting.com), works with individual counselors and programs. In years past, David traveled the country, helping design and develop IOP programs for adolescents. David co-authored “Effective Outpatient Treatment for Adolescents” and “How to Help Your Child Become Drug-Free,” both which are available at davidgust.net.
