Our first article defined and discussed caregiving as a public health issue, explored its types, challenges, and recipients, and presented findings from a report by the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC, 2020). This article addresses the experience and impact of caregiving on the family member or other individual providing support and assistance to an ill, disabled, or elderly person. We share some of our personal experiences as well as those of others, in providing care to a loved one.
