ebc_6442451301Several founders, as well as current and past board members of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics, joined hands at U.S. Journal Training’s Counseling Advances Conference (Las Vegas, March 13-15, 2013) to celebrate NACoA’s 30th anniversary.

Over 400 conference delegates attended an emotional luncheon, sponsored by The Betty Ford Center, which honored many of the pioneers of a social movement that forever changed the way we view the impact of addiction on the family system.

Jerry Moe, Director of Childrens Programs at the Betty Ford Center, gave a moving presentation which focused on the significance of NACoA’s educational outreach both in the North America and abroad. Founders were presented Certificates of Appreciation and Sis Wenger, NACoA’s Executive Director, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Claudia Black, PhD a Senior Fellow at The Meadows and co-founder of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.
