What began as a series of cautionary tales about the pitfalls of drug and alcohol addiction has become an award-winning advertising campaign. Earlier this month, it was announced that the “Hope Stories” campaign, created for Palm Beach County addiction care organization, Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, received a Webby Award in the “Online Reality Film and Video” category. The award represents a significant milestone for BHOPB and lends further recognition to their continued efforts to provide quality care to individuals suffering from drug and alcohol abuse. Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the employees that were brave enough to share their stories and contribute to this campaign.

“We’re very happy that Hope Stories has received so much recognition. Its message has always been that it’s never too late to get help for substance abuse. The more people who see hear these stories, the more that will realize that there’s hope for them or their loved one,” says Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches CEO, Alan Stevens. Representatives from BHOPB were on-hand as the awards were distributed at a special ceremony in New York City. Other notable winners included Google Creative Labs, ESPN, the Huffington Post, Paramount Pictures and the Humane Society of the United States.

About Hope Stories
Hope Stories is an honest, powerful and telling series of interviews, chronicling the addictions and recovery journeys of select Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches employees. The interviews are jarring yet hopeful, and celebrate the strength of the human spirit in overcoming dependency on drugs and alcohol. The Hope Stories campaign aired nationally and, along with television spots, included a responsive design (www.hopestories.com) on which viewers can see the full versions of the stories featured in the commercials.
