Claire Blevins, PhD, is an assistant professor of research at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a research psychologist at Butler Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Blevins’s work focuses on brief interventions for SUDs among a range of populations: heavy-cannabis-using adolescents, young adults in psychiatric care, and alcohol- and opiate-dependent adults. Specifically, she studies mechanisms of change and ways to incorporate technology into interventions. Her current work also examines ways to increase medication adherence and decrease relapse among individuals on medication-assisted therapies for SUDs.
